The main objective of the Patrimonia Project – Older Monographic Publications is to create a database, originating from PORBASE, which allows direct access to a very relevant area of the Portuguese bibliographic patrimony – Rare Books.
Taking its first steps this cooperative project looks forward to promoting the shared cataloguing and retrospective conversion of existing collections in portuguese libraries. This will allow a deeper knowledge and an improved endorsement of the portuguese bibliographic patrimony, not only through the bibliographic description but also by the inclusion of digitalized images.
